Digital Magnifier

A desktop digital magnifier is available for use in the Music, Art & Architecture Library on the fourth floor.

Desktop digital magnifiers are assistive technology devices that feature a camera and screen to enlarge reading or writing material. Specifications for this model include:

  • HD camera
  • 24” LCD monitor
  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • Wide field of view
  • LED lighting for picture quality
  • Adjustable viewing modes
  • XY table for continuous reading with a lock mechanism
  • 2.3X – 61.2X magnification

To use the digital magnifier:

  • Press the power button to turn the device on
  • Place material on the XY table and use the size dial for magnification
  • Adjust the display by using the mode button and brightness slide
  • For stability while writing or reading, pull the lever on the XY table to lock it in place
  • When finished, press the power button again to turn the device off
